This past weekend was a dream.
I said yes to the dress and A & Bé Bridal Salon!
As most of you may know, I have been married for almost 5 years now, which explains a lot of the confusion as to why I’m saying yes to any sort of wedding gown.
5 Years ago when I was going into my senior year of high school, I found out that I was pregnant. I was very lucky to have the support of those who love me and even more lucky to have the support and love from my baby’s father.
Flash forward a few months and we were wanting to live together because Sean (Baby Daddy) wanted to be with me through my pregnancy and when our son was born. Reasonable, obviously. But to my family, living together wasn’t an option unless we were married. Marriage was something we had already talked about and wanted to do so we dove in. But since I was pregnant and we wanted to live together as soon as possible, our dream wedding wasn’t in the cards for us. I wore a little white dress from (I think) H&M, and we tied the knot.
My family promised that when we made it to our 5 year anniversary we could have a vow renewal ceremony and that will be like our very own wedding ceremony.
It never really seemed like a reality for the past 4 years but this year everything changed. We began making plans. We began looking at everything we want for our renewal and I began looking for my dream gown since I didn’t get one the first time around.
Six months out and I finally got to go find my dream gown with my mom and my best friend! Yay!
We had a few appointments for salons around the Denver area, beginning at A & Bé.
We walked in and were immediately greeted by the woman at the front desk who introduced us to the cutest gown consultant EVER, Madi. She showed us to our dressing room area, offered us water and began asking all about my special day. I explained to her my story and why we were looking for a gown.
Madi then walked us around the boutique and showed us all of the gowns in our price range. Can you imagine my excitement? I was in love. I could have spent ALL DAY there. Literally. Unfortunately, we had 90 minutes so I contained myself and chose the gowns I thought were what I was looking for with Madi’s help, and we began trying on the beautiful gowns.
The third gown that I tried, I got very emotional and I actually started to feel like I was finally going to have the bridal moment that I’ve always dreamed of! No, I didn’t choose that gown, so you can imagine how I felt in the gown that I did choose!
When I officially decided on the dress that I got, Madi brought us a champagne toast. I felt so special and for that I can’t thank Madi and A & Bé Solon enough. I felt like a princess and I cannot wait for Sean to see me in my gown!
We will be going to the big Island of Hawaii in January to renew our vows! I will be posting more about our renewal on my blog so if you’re wanting all of the details keep a look out for those. I’m so excited to share this special experience with all of you!
Have a fantastic week babes!
